Apr 17, 2018: [Kenya, USA] service ASEC’s annual Service Learning trip will take place from May 20-June 9, 2018. A total of 13 participants will be traveling to Kenya and staying with the Little Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi (LSOSF), a missionary community, where they will take part in service learning activities within the LSOSF compound and throughout Nairobi.

Improving the capacity of African sisters in managing financial resources

Apr 13, 2018: [Zambia] reflections The finance and resource mobilization skills learned in the SLDI program has enabled Sr. Cecilia to secure funding for a finance workshop that attracted 45 sisters from over 20 congregations.

On Tuesday, January 16, ASEC signed a framework of reference with The Catholic University of Easter Africa (CUEA) to renew their commitment to empower Catholic sisters through education. The FOR was signed on CUEA's campus in Nairobi, Kenya.

ASEC renews partnership with CUEA

Apr 4, 2018: [Kenya] general ASEC renews partnership with CUEA through a Framework of Reference (FOR) to continue to support the education of religious sisters in Africa.

Veritas University, one of Nigeria’s fastest growing private universities is situated at the heart of Bwari, outskirts of Abuja in Nigeria. The university, owned by the Catholic Church, has three faculties with eight departments. ASEC partnered with Veritas University in 2015 for sisters to studying through the Higher Education for Sisters in Africa (HESA) Program. Through this partnership sisters can select from various bachelor's’ degree programs relevant to their ministries, such as education, accounting, political science and diplomacy.
